Americans All! Performing at the BFAC 3/14
Mrs. VanMersbergen led our class in a multi-grade level masterpiece, up on the big stage of the Batavia Fine Arts Center. We huddled in the Black Box theater until it was our turn to shine. Waiting in the wings was kinda long, but we got back on stage for the grand finale. Super singing, boys and girls!
Making Oobleck with Miss Nielsen 3/13
Miss Nielsen helped us uncover the truth about Oobleck after reading a Dr. Seuss classic, Bartholomew and the Oobleck. Mixing corn starch, water and food coloring, we had fun playing with this interesting substance. We found that it was as sticky as the story states. We discovered that when it heats up in your hands, it acts like a solid, but when you let it cool on the table, it acts more like a liquid. Thank you Miss Nielsen, for sharing this fun science activity with us!

George or Abe? Informative or Persuasive Writing
The children completed their studies of two "February" Presidents, and took the initiative to write a narrative with facts about their favorite, or they chose to write a persuasive essay on why they thought a particular leader was best. Great thinking and a lot of lessons learned about two great Americans.
Fun Fair at GMS 3/1/13
A fun night of games, face painting, food and families. Thank you for making our PTO Fun Fair a successful event. This is the largest endeavor for raising monies to support our classrooms and students. I appreciate all the work that families and friends put into making this such a hit for the children, as well as the PTO. Smiles are evidence.
