This blog site is dedicated to the children and families of 1C. We will use it to celebrate our year with photos, as well as to help make connections between home and school using websites, word lists, calendars, and more!

Writing Goals, Coding Practice, Measuring in Non-Standard Ways, and More
We established new writing goals this week, and will work toward attaining them and moving up this chart (numbers shown do NOT reflect this year's goals for our students). We learned how to measure with non-standard units, and played a game with a few extra minutes during WIN Time that teaches children the process of coding (a technology skill for creating computer programs). Our friend Mrs. Anderson stopped by for a quick visit (LOL) when the students were trying very hard to be "serious," and we received a visit from Firefighter Chris, who taught us about fire safety. Pics of that visit came through Seesaw.
Be on the lookout this week for videos submitted by students, stating their cases for which is better: Dogs or Cats!
