1C Flea Market on Wednesday 2-6-13
Our class will hold a flea market on Wednesday. They may bring in 3 to 5 items that they wish to sell to their peers. This will be an "all sales final" event. All items may be sold for 15 to 50 cents (but only one will go for the 50 cents max). This will be an excellent opportunity for the children to have a real life experience involving coin counting and making change.
Please send your child with items that they are willing to part with. Last year's sale included items like games, toys, books, stuffed animals, dolls, trucks and cars. If it interests your first grader, chances are, it will be appealing to another.
Our students will also need to bring in a bag of coins of all varieties, totaling $1.50. These should NOT be the same coins they are using for their classroom work. All items and coins need to be in the classroom at 9:00 on Wednesday morning. Thanks!
